Waspi campaign gains unanimous backing of Unison

WOMEN fighting against state pension inequality under the Waspi banner have received a boost as one of the UK's largest trade unions has backed their struggle with the Government.

Unison members demonstrated their support by voting resoundingly in favour of a motion to compensate women born in the 1950s. Waspi has argued that these women are entitled to compensation for not receiving “adequate notice” of the State Pension age increase.
