Tate Modern developer could transform 'tired and dated' city building

A “TIRED and dated” office building in Cambridge could be revamped by the same developer behind the Tate Modern and the BBC Television Centre.

Developer Stanhope has proposed the redevelopment of Kett House on Station Road.
The firm behind some of the UK's most recognisable buildings said: “Our proposals are at an early stage, but we believe Kett House has considerable potential to contribute to the vibrancy of the CB1 district, support the wider community and renew a prominent site.”
CB1 in Cambridge refers to a large-scale, mixed-use development and revitalised area around Cambridge station, named after the local postcode.
