County success for Theo and Joe
Cambridge News
|May 02, 2025
THIS year's County Foursomes Championship took place at the Links Golf Club and saw Cambridgeshire Golf Union boys team members Joe Austin and Theo Morris take the title by one stroke.
-
Twelve-year-old Jake Notton, of the Saffron Walden club, hit a lovely drive that split the middle of the fairway to get the tournament underway. The average age of the group teeing off first was 14 years of age which was great to witness.
The leaders after the opening round were local members Joe Austin and Theo Morris who came in with an excellent 71 which contained 5 birdies, including three on the bounce on holes 3,4 and 5.
