A £1 MILLION investment to tackle inequality in Greater Cambridge, celebrations with members and a special commemorative chocolate coin - it's been a busy 175th birthday for The Cambridge Building Society.

The society has delivered meaningful change within the community as part of a packed year to mark its 175th anniversary.

Last year, to celebrate the major milestone, it:

■Made a £1 million investment into Greater Cambridge Impact to help tackle housing and inequality issues over the next decade;

■Made record donations of more than £175,000 from its profits to good causes as part of a pledge to make long-lasting impact in Greater Cambridge and beyond;
