JNPA's Skilling Mission Sets Sail

With over 35,000 youth engaged through the Vadhvan Port Skilling Program and professionals trained via the JNPA-Antwerp Port Training Foundation, a future-ready maritime workforce is in the making

While Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) is widely recognised for powering India's maritime trade, it is its steady commitment to inclusive development that often sails under the radar. In 2024, JNPA deepened its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) footprint, taking a holistic approach to uplift communities through initiatives in education, healthcare, and rural infrastructure.

Among the year's standout interventions was JNPA's support to the CDROME Education Society in Mumbai—an event marked by the presence of Shri Ramesh Bais, then Governor of Maharashtra, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The collaboration not only spotlighted educational access for marginalised groups but also reinforced national priorities of empowerment and skill-building.
