Months after 'rest,' former DENR chief Loyzaga gets new post in Malacañang

MONTHS after taking a “rest” from public service, former Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga is back in the Marcos administration as Special Envoy for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).
During her oath-taking ceremony last Wednesday in Malacañang, President Ferdinand Marcos said he is confident Loyzaga will be able to enhance the government's disaster resilience initiatives in her newly created government position.
“The President also conveyed his full support for the new special envoy as she advances the administration's agenda on climate action, renewable energy integration, and disaster risk reduction,” the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said in a statement.
