OREIGN ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) will hold an emergency meeting Friday afternoon to tackle the escalating crisis in the Middle East.
Dominic Xavier "Dax" Imperial, spokesman of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Asean matters, said the Special Asean Foreign Ministers' Meeting on the Situation in the Middle East is Asean's collective response to the unfolding developments.
The agenda will focus on the energy crisis rattling Asean economies and on coordinated measures to assist nationals caught in distress across the region.
