'Reform has assembled its unit to crack down on waste and inefficiency'

PARTY SENDS IN AUDITORS TO COUNCILS, MIRRORING DOGE UNIT RUN BY DONALD TRUMP AND ELON MUSK

REFORM UK is sending in its first Elon Musk-style Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) unit to look at "wasteful spending" in councils.
A team of software engineers, data analysts and forensic auditors will “visit and analyse” local authorities, starting with Kent County Council.
Staffordshire County Council will also get the Doge treatment after Reform UK took control of the authority in the May local elections.
Reform UK leader, Nigel Farage, said: “Reform has assembled its unit to crack down on waste and inefficiency.”
The US Doge was launched during Donald Trump's presidency to cut federal spending. Billionaire Musk was involved, but has since left his position spearheading the unit.
