Eustace' ‘Sao attention to detail”

- By LEIGH CURTIS leigh.curtis@reachplc.com @LeighCurtis_DT

JEFF Hendrick has revealed John Eustace’s “incredible” attention to detail as he lifted the lid on the long hours Derby County's head coach puts in at the training ground.

Hendrick joined the Rams as a free agent in the second half of last season after Eustace left Blackburn Rovers to become head coach at Pride Park Stadium in February.

While the midfielder did not play a single game after joining last season, Eustace praised the experienced Hendrick’s impact in and around Moor Farm before he was released at the end of the campaign. With Hendrick now set to hang up his boots, he has given an insight into how Eustace works, having been a teammate of the Rams head coach in his first spell at Derby.

“It’s nice to see them (Derby) back in the Championship,” Hendrick told website BoyleSports.com.

“John Eustace taking the role was massive. Blackburn were fourth or fifth and for him to take Derby, who were rock bottom, was a bit of a statement.
