Cabinet vow to prioritise SEND

REFORM COUNCILLOR WRITES TO ALL LOCAL MPS FOR THEIR SUPPORT TO LOBBY PARLIAMENT

MEMBERS of the new cabinet at Staffordshire County Council have said Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) will be a top priority.

Reform UK councillor Janet Higgins, below, who was appointed new cabinet lead for Education and SEND after last month’s elections, has both personal and professional experience of the issue.

She has now penned a letter to all Staffordshire MPs calling on the government to deliver the critical funding and policy reforms which she says are needed to improve SEND provision in the county.
