GARY Bowyer insists there will be no excuses offered up from him despite losing two key players in recent weeks and says they just have to 'get on with it'.

Charlie Webster continues to be out with an ankle problem while captain Udoka Godwin-Malife also missed the 1-0 defeat to Wigan.

Bowyer admitted: “It wasn’t great to lose the captain on Saturday. We've had bad news on that in terms of the length of time he’s going to be out and Chaz had his operation on Monday.

“The good news is it’s what it was supposed to be, the operation, and they didn’t find more which would have put the recovery time even further but, from our point of view, yes they're a miss but we can’t make excuses. There's injuries up and down the country and we've just got to get on with it.”
