We must be more clinical to stay in hunt for play-offs
Bristol Post
|December 15, 2025
FOOTBALL can be cruel.
Brutally cruel. After this past week, Bristol City fans could easily be celebrating nine points from nine against Millwall, Leicester and Coventry.Instead, we're left staring at a measly one point. One. And yet, the performances weren't bad. Far from it. There was plenty to admire, effort, energy, commitment, some impressive and eye-catching football but where it mattered most, in the opposition box, we came up short. Again. And that’s the story of our season so far: good football, flashes of quality, but all too often lacking that killer instinct. If we don’t find that clinical edge soon, the playoffs and the dream of promotion will remain just that: a dream.
