Valve is building up a head of Steam
Bristol Post
|November 20, 2025
VALVE has already made a name for itself with its Steam gaming platform and the Steam Deck handheld console.
This week, the company revealed some hardware plans to take its efforts to the next level.
Not only is Valve releasing a Steam-branded games console PC, but there's also a VR headset and a games controller coming our way.
And if any of them show the same kind of innovation and commitment to quality as the Steam Deck, we're all on to a winner.
If you're not familiar with Steam, it's a storefront for PC games and a way to manage them - like an App Store for games.
It runs on both Windows and Macs, but its strength really lies in its Windows offerings.
The Steam Deck allows you to play these Windows games on the go on a handheld console, a bit like a Nintendo Switch, but more powerful.
