Town primary school could double in size

A PRIMARY school in South Gloucestershire could soon double in size as new housing estates have created a surge in demand.

The first phase of the expansion could happen during the school holidays this summer.
Manorbrook Primary School in Thornbury will expand from 210 places to 420 places, with two classes in each year group. As well as internal remodelling, two extra classrooms will be built on the infant block to create enough space for the new pupils.
