The Discovery Programme at HorseWorld in Whitchurch is helping children with complex needs build confidence and mental resilience by pairing them with gentle rescue horses.

For many families, the scheme has become a crucial intervention after years of struggle.

Natasha's son, Jayden, was diagnosed with autism and ADHD in 2019. Now 13, Jayden is participating in his second term with the charity.

Natasha said: "Jayden is on his second term and is doing amazingly. I can leave him at HorseWorld, knowing that he is comfortable and his confidence is building."

Another parent, Rachel, fought for her son Charlie to receive alternative learning at the centre after years of disrupted mainstream education. By the age of ten, Charlie had attended three different primary schools and Rachel was struggling to get his needs met.
