Next-level pub dining for a very fair price

There has been a pub in this tucked away corner of Clifton since the 17th century, when it was a coaching inn with stables for the horses.

For the past two decades, it has been one of Bristol's best-loved food pubs but now there’s a new reason to eat at The Albion.

The upstairs area has been used as a restaurant on and off for years but it has just been rebooted with a fresh look and a private dining room for larger groups in a room that until recently was being used for storage.

With its low beams, antique tables, walls clad in reclaimed wood and warming wood burners at each end, the upstairs dining room is cosy, intimate and atmospheric - think country pub meets log cabin.
