Man jailed for bid to fly drugs into prison

A BRISTOL man who attempted to smuggle drugs into a prison using a drone has himself been jailed.

Oliver Onyeahasi, 26, of Aberdeen Road, Cotham, Bristol, was imprisoned for 40 months after pleading guilty at Salisbury Crown Court to being concerned in the supply of class A and class B drugs, as well as two counts of being concerned in the supply of class C drugs, after trying to fly the narcotics into HMP Erlestoke Prison in Wiltshire.
Wiltshire Police were called to the prison following reports of a low flying drone in the early hours of October 1, 2023.
