'Humiliated' Mum told to pay £50 to bring breast milk on easyJet flight

A BREASTFEEDING mother has expressed her outrage at easyJet following a "humiliating" incident, where she was told she would incur additional charges for carrying breast milk and a breast pump on her flight.

- Emilia RANDALL

Daisy Crawford recounted how the staff at Bristol Airport were “stony faced” and displayed “no understanding” of the distress caused by the security procedure.

On Sunday Ms Crawford travelled from Bristol to Belfast after spending time with friends and family in Devon.

Although she passed through airport security without any problems, she was confronted at the boarding gate with the news that she would be fined £50 for having pumped breast milk with her.

She alleged the personnel made no effort to comprehend her predicament, ignoring the possibility that she might have a premature infant who would rely heavily on the expressed milk.
