Football Youngster could be in contention to face Birmingham

LEO Pecover still “needs time” after making his Bristol City debut against Southampton, according to Gerhard Struber, but the Reds boss was quick to credit the “cheeky” youngster for his maiden display at Ashton Gate.
-
The teenager was a second-half substitute as the Robins ended a four-match winless run at home with a 3-1 win over the Saints on Tuesday evening.
Having been named in each of the Reds’ previous five matchday squads, Struber turned to Pecover in the 72nd minute. The 18-year-old replaced Scott Twine and worked hard to help City comfortably claim all three points.
While Struber still feels Pecover, inset, has room to grow he was eager to praise his performances both in front of and away from supporters.
