Football Evans rues 'atrocious' and costly red card for Forde

BRISTOL Rovers head coach Steve Evans described Shaq Forde’s second yellow card as “atrocious,” with the right-winger's 53rd-minute dismissal helping Bromley to come back from 2-0 down to secure all three points against Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium on Boxing Day.
Jack Sparkes and Fabrizio Cavegn put the Gas into a two-goal lead at the break after a dominant first-half performance, but goals from Nicke Kabamba and Ben Thompson completed a remarkable second-half comeback to lift Bromley to second.
It had looked like it would be a first win in 12 for the Gas at halftime. But the second-half turnaround extended the winless run.
Speaking about Forde's red card, Evans said: “I think that's three times in 12 months, the kid’s got sent off. Far too many for me. He's a wide player with purpose and pace and power. He shouldn’t be getting yellows and never mind red cards. It’s a silly first booking, and then the second one’s atrocious.”
