Cancer survivor's defiant tale of struggle and success

A BRISTOL man who was given months to live has shared his incredible recovery after defying doctors' diagnosis. Graham Bloomfield was just 12 years old when he was diagnosed with Lymphoepithelioma, a cancer of the nasal passage, in 1978.

He pulled through despite being told he had just six months to live, although a bout of aggressive radiotherapy left him with lasting effects such as muscle and skin damage to his neck and parts of his face.

Graham, now aged 59, has written a book about overcoming cancer as a child in a tale of struggle, survival and hope in the face of incredible difficulty. By sharing his own experiences, Graham said he hoped to help others who were going through difficult recoveries.
