A YOUNG boxer from Bristol has made history after becoming the first woman fighter ever to be named as the UK Prospect of the Year by boxing bible Boxing News.

Tiah-Mai Ayton was named as the hottest prospect in the ring in Britain this year even before last week's demolition of Brazilian fighter Ana Karla Vaz De Moraes - her fourth knockout in her first four professional fights.
Boxing News managing editor Oliver Fennell said the 19-year-old from Kingswood stood out because she was “just that good”.
Boxing News is the oldest boxing magazine still in publication, and it is the first time in the magazine's 116-year history that it has named a woman boxer as Britain's hottest prospect.
"For the first time, a female boxer has topped the table in our consideration for the best boxing prospect in this land," Oliver Fennell wrote.
