Bristol & District Brothers set new club record for an opening partnership

The siblings, both junior prod-ucts of the club, went on the attack in this Division Eight North clash against Bradley Stoke & Almonds-bury 5ths before their partnership was ended when Jake, aged 33, was held for 98 off 104 (15 fours and a six).

But Jordan, 35, kept going and was eventually out for 141 from just 99 (25 fours, three sixes) as Bohs piled up an imposing 309-6 from their 40 after losing the toss.

Their stand improved the previ-ous Bohs’ first wicket record stand of 190 shared by Kris Connabeer and Jonny Daw.

Bradley Stoke & Almondsbury, in reply, wilted to 175-8, opener Jer-emy Bourke top scoring on 54 as Jason John captured 3-23 from six.

Liam Henderson, meanwhile, plundered the highest score of the day, finishing unbeaten on 185 from 124 for Stapleton 3rds who trumped St George Valley by 43 runs in Division Seven East.
