B&D Century duo prove key to side's winning total

KSHAY Suresh and Bino Joly shared an unbroken partnership of 222 for Bristol New Eleven 2nds who coasted to a 177-run triumph away to Hampset 3rds to make it three from three at the top of Division Nine East in the Martin Berrill Sports Bristol & District League.
Suresh finished on 121 from only 83 balls (16 fours, four sixes) while Joly’s 118 came from 107 deliveries and featured 18 boundaries as their side piled up 335-3 from 40 after losing the toss.
Hampset, in reply, then lost their first two wickets to the first two balls of the innings and never recovered, Jacob Joy finishing with 4-37 and Amaljith Uthaman 3-24.
Lewys Ryan, meanwhile, hammered 145 from 93 (22 fours, four sixes) for Bishopston 3rds who went on to trump Bradley Stoke & Almondsbury 4ths by 104 runs in Division Seven North.
And in Division Eight West, opener Harry Bird’s 154 helped power Bristol 4ths to a 71-run home success over Barrow Gurney 2nds, Sai Patel also weighing in with 69.
Amol Ingle’s 140 for Old Caths came off 91 balls, and featured 14 fours and eight sixes, paving the way for a 265-run triumph away to Lodway 3rds in Division Nine West.
