All set for light switch-on events as festive season nears

COMMUNITIES around Bristol are getting ready to switch on the Christmas lights as the festive season approaches.

Here's a roundup of events taking place soon:

Clifton Village, Tuesday, November 12(Spm to 7pm)

The event is always a big occasion in Clifton Village, with past years featuring celebrity guests in charge of flicking the switch and transforming the area into a glowing Christmas wonderland.

Sandy Park Road, Brislington, Saturday, December 6 (2-6pm)

Organisers say they are making fundraising efforts and calling on locals and anyone who can help to support this year’s Sandy Park Road switch-on event by making a donation via a JustGiving page to keep it running for as long as possible.
