PROVINCIAL police commissioner Lt Gen Thembi Hadebe welcomed the sentencing of the 42-year-old accused, William Mthombothi, to 15 years' imprisonment by the Mokopane Regional Court on March 12.
The court heard that the store manager and her colleagues were closing up the Exact Clothing Store in Mokopane at approximately 17:05 on May 5, 2014 when three men entered the premises and threatened them with a firearm.
The suspects took the employees' phones and ordered them to lie on their stomachs in the storeroom. They then locked the door.
