Joint-head coach Alex Loney admits it's unheard of for Fylde RFC to draw three matches at home before Christmas - but he acknowledged last weekend's 22-22 thriller against Preston Grasshoppers is "the one we're gutted about".
That’s because Fylde let a 19-0 halftime lead slip at the Woodlands on Saturday, conceding four unanswered tries in the second half, with Danny Maher scoring the last of them in the final minute.
Having missed all of their previous conversion attempts, Hoppers kicked the last to avoid an eighth straight derby defeat since returning to National Two North.
Loney told The Gazette: “After being in a commanding position, it’s a big disappointment not to get over the line.
