Debbie Creighton, manager of the Premier store and Sudi pet shop in the former New Market building on Waterloo Road, was full of praise for Blackpool Council, Blackpool South MP and the community spirit in the area during what has been such a difficult time.

"We had only been open since last August and business had been going well, with plans to go ahead to open a restaurant in the premises," she said.
