Ed wax 'prank' part of lookalike documentary

Madame Tussauds visitors in Blackpool were left shrieking when Ed Sheeran lookalike Ty Jones posed as a wax figure before suddenly springing to life during a documentary shoot.

As the Gazette reported yesterday, visitors to Madame Tussauds became convinced Ed Sheeran had dropped in for a surprise appearance - only to later discover it was actually one of the UK's most convincing lookalikes.

But the man causing the excitement wasn't Ed Sheeran at all - it was professional lookalike Ty Jones, and he has now told the Gazette he was filming scenes for a documentary about his unusual double life.
