A year of progress: My top 10 moments of 2025
Blackpool Gazette
|January 02, 2026
The year 2025 has been one of making a real difference for people across Blackpool South.

When the council asked for views on the future of the Blackpool Central site, I launched a campaign for a world-class arena. More than 2,500 residents backed the idea, showing strong local ambition for a landmark venue.
9 Named neighbourhood officer. My pledge to secure a named neighbourhood police officer for every ward was delivered this summer. Having dedicated officers back on the beat is already helping improve safety on our streets.
