Famous customers and a famous owner
MUSICIANS in the Dudley area will surely remember one of the town's best-known and much-missed music shops - Modern Music.
Based in modest premises on Castle Hill opposite the zoo and next to the Station Hotel, it was the go-to place for all instruments, not just the 'modern' ones like electric guitars.
But the shop's musical pedigree went far beyond the equipement it sold - it had strong connections with two very famous bands, from two different generations.
