THE sister of a man who killed a woman in a horror crash has been jailed for her part in the ordeal.

Sanaa Shahzad, of Farndon Close, Redditch, allowed her brother, Khizer Ali, to drive her VW Golf on April 23 last year.

Ali, 34, of the same address, crashed the car into a Vauxhall Meriva which left 65-year-old Valerie Ayres dead and her 70-year-old husband, David Ayres, with life-changing injuries. The couple, from Alvechurch, had been travelling into Redditch to go shopping.

They had no chance of avoiding Ali's out-of-control car when he hit them head-on on the wrong side of the 40mph limit A441 Alvechurch Highway travelling at 59mph.
