CHILDREN and Staff at a Staffordshire Day Nursery and Pre-School group have raised more than £900 for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, after donning their Christmas jumpers and doing their bit in their festive kit.

More than 150 kids and nursery staff at the Humpty Dumpty nurseries in Lichfield and Yoxall pulled on their Christmas pullovers as part of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity's annual Jolly Jumper Day and all brought in a donation for the cause.

It's not the first time the nurseries have supported the hospital - during the summer, the settings signed up to hold a Bertie Bear's Picnic, in honour of Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity's mascot and to celebrate National Teddy Bear's Picnic Day.

Kids brought in their favourite teddies, enjoyed a picnic outside for lunch and read bear themed stories, raising more than £450.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity is a cause that’s not only close to the nurseries’ hearts, but the families of the children it cares for too. At this moment in time, three Humpty Dumpty children are receiving care from the hospital.
