Taxi driver slams city centre one-way system

'EVERYONE'S CONFUSED BY THE NEW SYSTEM', SAYS NADEEM HUSSAIN

A TAXI driver has slammed a decision to turn Birmingham city centre into one-way streets - saying it is causing "chaos".

Nadeem Hussain claims he recently spent hours directing confused traffic which was heading the wrong way along Temple Row West and said there were delays of an hour.

Previously drivers could turn left off Colmore Row onto the road, which is the home of the Old Joint Stock pub.

But this is no longer the case and signs went up earlier this month informing drivers of the new layout on Waterloo Street, Temple Row West and other roads.
