Solis has strength to boost Blues chances

JHON Solis has proved to be dispensable at Girona but, on the face of it, the Colombian has qualities Birmingham City’s midfield has been missing.

Should everything go to plan this week, Solis will join Blues from the La Liga side and bolster Chris Davies’ squad ahead of the Championship match at Swansea City on Saturday.
Solis, standing at 6ft lins tall, will provide height and athleticism to complement the technical talents of Tommy Doyle and Paik Seung-ho in the engine room.
Physicality is an ingredient Blues have lacked this season, and they have been found wanting away from home where they have lost nine of 13 in the Championship.
Solis’s signing is an obvious attempt to address that issue.
