BIRMINGHAM City have reportedly activated their option to buy Colombian midfielder Jhon Solis.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Blues have taken up their EUR7million (£6m) option to sign Solis on a permanent basis from Girona after his successful loan spell at St Andrew's. The 21-year-old became a firm favourite in B9 for his combative displays in midfield and racked up 18 appearances across all competitions in the second half of the season.
