A GROUP of 60 runners who completed an epic 36-mile mission have raised over £5,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.

Runner's daughter is inspiration for 36-mile mission

A subgroup of members of Overseal Running Club, known as the Angels 2025, limbered up to take on the challenge that would see them run all or part of the route from Birmingham Children's Hospital home to Overseal, near Swadlincote.

The Angels joined the run at various points but one runner starting the challenge at Birmingham Children's Hospital was John Hall, whose daughter Bethany, 11, inspired the run.

Bethany was born with Sotos Syndrome, which causes rapid physical growth and low muscle tone. She also has Scoliosis, or a curve in her spine.
