Nurse will help to keep Moors options healthy

CHRIS Millington believes he will now have competition for every shirt in his Solihull Moors lineup after welcoming George Nurse to the club.

- By COLIN STONER

Left-back Nurse yesterday completed a month-long loan from Shrewsbury Town ahead of Moors’ trip to title-chasing Forest Green Rovers today.

The 26-year-old follows Scott High, Tyrese Sinclair, and Joe Sbarra in linking up with Moors after Millington and No 2 Andy Cooper took over in October.

Millington says Nurse, who started his career at Bristol City, will present another option to compete with Cam Green for the left-back berth.

“He's in his prime at 26,” said Millington.

“He will come in and give us a bit of competition at left-back. It's the one area of the pitch where we only had one specialist in the shape of Cam Green so it gives a bit more competition in that area.

“I've never worked with him before but I’ve been aware of him for anumber ofyears.

“He is a good solid one-v-one defender and he has the ability to get forward. He can support the attacks with a lot of quality.

“He has got that attacking threat with his crossing as well.”

Nurse has a strong reputation in the EFL, progressing through the Bristol City ranks from the age of seven, and having loan spells at Newport County and Walsall before moving to Shrewsbury four years ago.
