Injury update has little Six appeal for England

George Martin had a shoulder op back again when the time is right.

RUGBY: England second-row George Martin will miss the autumn series and potentially more Tests next year due to uncertainty over his recovery from shoulder surgery.

Martin underwent the operation during the summer, ruling him out of tour selection for either England or the British and Irish Lions.

A date for the 24-year-old Leicester forward's return has yet to be set and he will not be back until the start of 2026 at the earliest, also placing his participation in the Six Nations in doubt.

“As with any nerve injuries, the time frame on George's availability is slightly unknown but to give George the best chance to perform, we know it won't be during the first half of this season,” Tigers head coach Geoff Parling said.
