DEMARAI Gray always planned to return to the club where it all started.
The 29-year-old winger has returned to Blues after nine-and-a-half years away, which have seen him win the Premier League, make 200 topflight appearances, and enjoy spells in Germany and Saudi Arabia.
Gray has penned a three-year contract after joining from Al-Ettifaq and wants to help the club return to the Premier League.
Reflecting on his return, he told Blues+: “It’s something I wanted for a long time. Just to be back around the stadium, it brings back a lot of feel ings. I can’t wait to get going and be back in front of the fans and see where this season can take us.
“I always said I want to come back home before I finish playing. I'm 29, it's been ten years since I last played here, I’m buzzing to wear the shirt.
