Hero Harris simply super - Bears boss
Birmingham Mail
|June 04, 2025
HEAD coach Ali Maiden says Australian import Laura Harris is like having a “super hero” in the side following the Bears’ first victory in the Vitality Blast over Durham at Edgbaston.
Harris struck a record-breaking 16-ball half-century on her home debut last Friday, including eight fours and three sixes.
“It's like having a super hero, you feel like she's unbeatable,” said Maiden. “She is human, she will fail occasionally, and things won't happen all the time.
“But her impact in that game was brilliant. Getting her in at the right time is important because of the way she plays, and I think we got it spot-on tactically.
“I don't think there’s anyone else in the world that can do that, and we've got her in our team.”
