Frustrated boss wants Baggies to start believing

AFTER
West Brom’s away woes continued on Tuesday night at Southampton, head coach Ryan Mason attempted to dissect another up-and-down performance from his team. The Baggies looked down and out by halftime at St Mary’s as the hosts put them to the sword to lead by three goals, but Mason’s side fought back after the break.
In the end, they had left themselves with too big a mountain to climb as Karlan Grant and Nat Phillips’ second-half goals were not enough to overturn the deficit in a 3-2 defeat.
Given the team’s current form, the Albion boss did not feel it was appropriate to offer a hugely positive outlook on the game, considering how it ended.
"It's certainly not the time to do that," Mason said, on highlighting the second-half resurgence.
"We were 3-0 down after the first half, and that is a bigger concern than what happened [in a positive sense] in the second half.
