THUG CONVICTED OF ATTACKING 94-YEAR-OLD IN MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
AN evil burglar who brutally attacked a great-grandfather in his own home has been convicted of his murder.
A neighbour spotted 94-year-old Harold Monk being attacked in his flat on Inglewood Avenue, Wolverhampton, in the middle of the night and alerted the emergency services.
West Midlands Police attended and officers arrested the masked attacker, Paul Topham, who was on the roof.
Police said that Topham, wearing a balaclava and carrying a rucksack, had got inside Mr Monk’s home as his victim slept in the early hours of October 3 last year.
