Upskilling scheme targets small entrepreneurs

The government's upskilling programme for small entrepreneurs under the "Khon La Khrueng Plus" (half-half plus) scheme is designed to equip them with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy, according to Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas.

"I recently met with the prime minister of Singapore, who agreed we must equip our people with the skills needed to thrive in the digital age or we risk being left behind," said Mr Ekniti following the economic cabinet meeting on Monday, which approved a proposal to provide incentives for small firms under the programme to enhance their digital skills.

He said the training programme will allow small entrepreneurs to receive training on how to use digital tools to increase their sales.
