Thaksin to skip his court hearing, no ruling expected

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra will not be present when the Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions holds an inquiry tomorrow regarding how his prison term was handled, says Thaksin’s lawyer.
Winyat Chartmontri said his client has not been summoned by the court and that he, as Thaksin's authorised legal representative, is prepared to clarify the questions surrounding the controversy. Mr Winyat added the court has extended the deadline to submit documents for 30 days to June 23.
