Study maps out details of trillion-baht Land Bridge

A long study on the ambitious Land Bridge project, specifying nearly one trillion baht in investment over three phases of development, has been completed, according to the Transport Ministry.

The Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) has finalised its four-year feasibility and design study of the Land Bridge megaproject, estimating investment costs at over 997 billion baht.

The project, intended to link the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, will be developed in three phases and is expected to be tendered in 2026 with operations beginning in 2030.

Deputy Transport Minister Manaporn Charoensri, who presided over the final seminar in Bangkok, said all public opinions — both supportive and critical — were included in the study.
