Officials named in major graft scandal
Authorities have dismantled a network accused of illegally granting permanent residency and Thai nationality to foreign nationals in Chiang Dao district, Chiang Mai.
Yesterday, Pol Maj Gen Jaroonkiat Pankaew, deputy commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau, and Pol Maj Gen Prasong Chalermphan, commander of the Anti-Corruption Division, led coordinated raids at multiple locations across Chiang Mai to expand an investigation into alleged corruption by state officials.
