Renowned city school to close

Bangkok Post

November 06, 2025

Udomsuksa, a 50-year-old private school in Bangkok's Wang Thonglang district, has announced it will close at the end of the 2025 academic year, citing a sharp decline in student enrolments linked to Thailand's falling birth rate.

In a letter sent to parents, the school explained that ongoing economic and social challenges, together with a steady drop in the national birth rate, had resulted in a significant reduction in students from kindergarten through to high school levels.
