The Central Administrative Court has ruled that the Thai Red Cross Society's refusal to accept blood donations from transgender women who were assigned male at birth is not discriminatory, citing the need to protect the safety of recipients.

The court yesterday revoked a March 1, 2022, decision by the Committee on Consideration of Unfair Gender Discrimination, which determined that the Red Cross’s policy violated the 2015 Gender Equality Act.
