Nam Dinh’s Samba stars down Dragons

Ratchaburi lost their opening game of the AFC Champions League Two, going down 3-1 to hosts Nam Dinh of Vietnam at the Thien Truong Stadium on Wednesday night.
Brazilian midfielder Caio Cesar put Nam Dinh ahead in the 35th minute and a brace from his countryman Brenner Marlos within the space of five second-half minutes capped off a memorable opening Group F clash for the V-League 1 champions.
Both sides failed to get any shots on target in the first 10 minutes, with the home side’s Percy Tau breaking the impasse in the 14th minute with an attempt that went straight to keeper Kampon Pathomakkakul.
Nam Dinh broke the deadlock when Cesar leapt to receive a cross from Mahmoud Eid and then guided the ball from the six-yard box past Kampon Pathomakkakul's outstretched arm.
